Torome_006_1

My trip spanned from Venice, to Bologna, to Portovenere and the entire Cinque Terre region, to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and rounded off in Rome.  Today I'm in Florence, and have yet to do Rome... postings for those later.  Ciao.

The Riding Giants Premiere in South Hampton. I write about it here, but you can see it here. Look for these photographs when they air a BLUE CARPET SPECIAL on Fox Cable Networks. Many thanks to Shon Tomlin and Pat Parnell...

my man and I

got our pictures taken... I love the little noodle. I couldn't decide where he belonged... cause he's comfort food too. He's my grilled cheese sandwich. I love Linus more than anything... well just about. Here's a drawing I did of him using a Number 2 Pencil. So while I have no man in my life, I do have my Linus... my stand in for now.

music

You’ve seen High Fidelity by now; I’m sure of it. Okay, fine, you read it. Certain songs smell like your past, they evoke memories just as strong as the scent of your grandmother’s perfume. You know you were in a convertible falling in love last time you heard that one. You were with your friends at the beach designing drinks with left over mixers, and the song might not have been playing, somehow when you hear the song now, you remember that day. Or you got creative with that last song and changed all the lyrics for the tune for a camp cheer. If your life had an inner soundtrack that covered you, as best as anyone can be summed up, what would be your playlist? What do you sound like?

I'm working on my theme song... and hitting a few musical venues helps...

party like a rock star

I go to parties for the appetizers and the people watching. Sometimes for the music, and always for the company. I adore my friends; I really am blessed. These galleries include photographs from parties... some fabulous, some foolish.

scrumptious

I am in lust with food. I play with it, photograph it, cook it, and eat it... a lot of it. Lately, I'm into the art of vertical food... stacking. Layers of flavor. The sheen of eggs, the comfort of butter. Oh my god, I so need a room.

The following image galleries include photographs of inspirational food.
